Government needs vote from “rebel” Unionist

THE Majorca Unionist Party's “rebel” MP Bartomeu Vicens who is refusing to resign his seat despite his implication in the Son Oms industrial estate urban corruption scandal along with his wife, continues to play a key part in governing the Balearics.

Yesterday, the government's recently established economic crisis committee held its first meeting to analyse the current economic situation in the Balearics and Spain and one of the initial conclusions was the importance of approving the 2009 Balearic Budget “as quickly as possible”.
