PALMA
THE Council of Majorca and the foundation for helping drug addicts and the homeless, Deixalles, yesterday joined forces in a new campaign to encourage the general public to do more to help the drive to slow climate change.

The local campaign comes under the umbrella of a national initiative launched by the Spanish Association for Social and Economic Recuperation and the primary role of the campaign is to increase the general public's awareness to climate change, what causes it and how we can reduce the damage we are doing to the climate around us.

As part of the initiative, a series of events and workshops are going to be organised by the Council of Majorca in association with Deixalles in order to get their message across.
