THE Swedish woman found not guilty of killing her ex-husband, a Guardia Civil corporal, said that she has not yet assimilated her new situation and felt as though she was walking on air.
Titti Gyllenas had spent nearly two years in jail awaiting trial. The trial lasted for five days, and the jury gave its verdict on Friday night.
Mrs Gyllenas says that she has not thought about what she will do in the future, all she wants to do is see her children as soon as possible.
Francisco Orejana was found dead at his home in Palmanova in February last year by a colleague, worried because he had not turned up for work.
She admitted driving him home on the night he died, but had always denied entering his apartment. No fingerprints or footprints of hers were found and several strands of hair found in the victim's hand were shown not to be hers.
