PALMA
PALMA City Council is going to mount a special security and transport operation on Monday to ensure that All Saints passes without any problems.
With thousands of people expected to visit the capital's cemeteries an extra 60 members of the Local Police are going to be on patrol and on traffic duty in particular at the Son Valenti, Establiments and Sant Jordi cemetries.

Drivers are being urged to pay attention to a series of road closures and parking restrictions being introduced to prevent traffic problems and the city council is laying on extra public buses to the cemeteries in an attempt to discourage people from using their cars.

The special bus services actually began yesterday with hundreds of people expected to visit the cemeteries to pay their respects to the dead and avoid the huge crowds expected today and tomorrow.

These buses are going to be running every twenty minutes and the cemeteries are going to be open from 7.30am to 7.30pm.
Security has also been stepped up inside the cemeteries which have undergone a major cleaning operation over the past few days.
