City Council denies flower sales accusation

PALMA City Council has denied that it authorised the setting up of a flower sales point at Bon Sosec cemetery, said Health Councillor and Municipal Funerary Company President, Begoña Sanchez yesterday. She confirmed that permission for the sales had been granted by private company Funespaña, which owns most of the consecrated ground, except the morgue and the crematorium. She was responding to angry accusations by Florists' Association Secretary, Pilar Moncades, who claimed the sales point had been set up “illegally.”
