Palma.—The anticorruption prosecutor has requested that Maria Antonia Munar, the former President of the Council of Majorca, leader of the now defunct Majorca Unionist  Party and Parliamentary Speaker, be sentenced to eight years in jail for using public funds to capture votes.
Munar has already received two sentences totalling eleven-and-a-half years -  one of which she is currently serving in Palma prison while the other she has appealed against -  for corruption and now she finds herself facing further charges.
