Madrid.— The survey conducted by visitor research website “Qype” sifted through the verdict of more than 10'000 users.
However, despite the popularity of Palma, Madrid and Barcelona, it was Seville, said the website, that took the biscuit with a global five-star rating from the public.

Tastes, said “Qype” varied according to the nationality of the visitor. Whereas Germans touring Spain thought most highly of Palma, the British and French opted for Barcelona and Madrid.

According to the survey findings, top tourist attractions for Germans are the Soller railway on Majorca, the Dali theatre museum and the Güell Park in Catalonia, the Alhambra in Granada and the Port of Morgan in the Canary Islands.

Apart from Barcelona and Madrid, British tourists polled by Qype said that the Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz is a favourite holiday spot. More widely, European travellers responding to Qype's poll listed Palma Cathedral and the Olivar market as outstanding attractions.
