THE Calvia to Palmanova road was closed for five hours yesterday after a dumper truck carrying earth flipped over and blocked the road shortly after 11am. Traffic was diverted via Puigpunyet and Santa Ponsa to avoid major tail backs. According to the driver, the accident was caused by a dangeropus driver whom he had tried to avoid and in doing so, lost control of his lorry. Fortunately the driver only suffered a bump to the head.
