Staff reporter THE father of the seven-year-old girl who suffered serious multiple injuries when she fell ten metres from a hotel balcony in Calas de Mallorca two weeks ago, publicly thanked the doctors at Manacor Hospital and Son Dureta in Palma for saving his daughter's life.

Gianna Cooper was flown back to England on Saturday afternoon and admitted to a hospital in Cambridge so she could be closer to home. Yesterday, Ian Cooper said “we are very grateful for everything the hospitals in Majorca did to save Gianna's life, but we are glad to be back home. “She is in a stable condition. She is settling in well and is awake and talking.” “Our focus now is on her recovery and on rebuilding our family life,” he said in a statement.
