ROAD works along the Palmanova to Peguera duel carriage started yesterday causing long tail backs.
Peguera-bound traffic is being diverted over on to the other side of the dual carriage way while the stretch of road is re tarmaked and painted.
Work is expected to continue for the next two weeks and drivers are being asked to be careful and patient.
However, during rush hour yesterday morning and evening, the long a traffic jams were enough to test any one's patience.
The Ministry for Public Works and Housing said over the weekend that everything is being done to make sure that the road works cause as little disruption as possible and are completed as quickly as can be. The Ministry explained that the road works are not vital and can not be left much longer.
Drivers are being urged to pay particular attention to the new road signs as well as the new road lay out.
And to drive slowly through the diversion.
