POLLENSA
AS the Autumn Fairs are set up around the island, once again ESRA North joins the circuit.
This years annual charity fund raising event is a Grand Bazaar in the Cloisters in Pollensa.
Over the last 21 years ESRA North has raised well in excess of 100'000€ for charities and causes all over the island.
Schools, hospitals, homes for the elderly and schools for disabled children have all benefitted from donations for ESRA North.
This year the chosen charity is Association Planeta Equino which provides specialist facilities for riding for disabled people, and on Sunday members of ESRA North accepted the invitation of Dr. Rey Castillo, the Director of the project, to visit their centre in Alcudia.

ESRA North Treasurer, John Sandford, had a lead on other members. Not only had John experienced work in a stable, but he arrived wearing his stetson hat, and soon proved that he was very much at home with the horses.

ESRA members were able to see young-people experiencing the joy of riding under the supervision of qualified, experienced staff, to look at the facilities, and make contact with the horses.

The ESRA Grand Bazaar takes place in the Cloisters of Santa Domingo in Pollensa on Sunday 18th November from 10.00 to 14.00, and ESRA North are happy to accept any items on the day of the Bazaar, or at the Cloisters on the day before from 10.00 to 12.00.

The work that is going on with riding for the disabled at Association Planeta Equino really impressed the members of ESRA North who visited on Sunday.
The look on the faces of the children taking part seemed to make the success of ESRA North's Grand Bazaar next Sunday even more important. Why not go along and give them your support?
