20´000 people back Tramuntana's UNESCO bid

FROM royalty to legends of Hollywood and gods of rock and roll, they have backed the campaign to have the Serra Tramuntana declared a UNESCO heritage site of natural and cultural importance.

The campaign is being fronted by the Council of Majorca and yesterday, Council President, Francina Armengol, confirmed that the number of people who have logged on to the bid's website and signed the petition has now hit 20'010.

The deadline is looming but the Council of Majorca is confident that the petition , which has been signed by Michael Douglas, Annie Lennox and the Crown prince to the Spanish throne Prince Felipe and his wife Princess Letizia.
