Three drug trafficking suspects held in Inca

ON the eve of Majorca's largest agricultural fair, Dijous Bo, today in Inca, the Guardia Civil yesterday arrested three Colombians on suspicion of drug-trafficking.

As part of Operation “Parabola” officers seized half a kilo of cocaine and the same quantity of marihuana which the suspects had allegedly planned to sell throughout the streets during the fair. Investigations had actually started last September and a number of leads had been followed up. Within the last few days, the Guardia Civil had located the whereabouts of a major stockpile of drugs and anticipating its sale, officers decided to raid specific addresses.

As well as the narcotics, highly precise weight-measuring scales and other equipment for portioning and selling drugs were seized.
