HOLIDAYING Britons miss their home comforts, such as sleeping in their own beds, whilst they are away from home, according to a poll published yesterday.

A leading UK travel specialist claimed that holiday resorts offering a home-from-home familiarity to visitors - like Majorca favourites Magalluf and Palmanova - would continue to attract visitors, in spite of the current financial difficulties causing customers to cut back on spending.

It also pointed out that friendly, welcoming resort staff, proximity to local amenities and knowledgeable representatives were also important factors for Britons booking a holiday abroad.
