A group of leading figures from a left-wing Catalonian party (ERC) with branches in Manacor, Sineu and Palma, will lodge 1'700 individual allegations against the Majorcan Road Networking project with the European Parliament next week.
They will be supported by representatives of the Lobby against the Second Palma ringroad, and Anti-Motorway activists. Objectors aim to have the European Commission investigate the modifications in highway developments on the island planned by the present government. ERC claim the environmental impact will be enormous.
