Alcudia town council owes waste disposal and incineration company Tirme 1'725'000 euros plus interest of nearly 635'000 euros in unsettled bills dating back to 2008, Mayoress Coloma Terrasa confirmed yesterday. The council is negotiating to repay the debt in stages to stop interest accumulating further, Terrasa said.
