PALMA
WORKERS at Caprabo's supermarkets in the Balearics have expressed their “discontent” that the Eroski Group is going ahead with a take over of this Catalan company, after getting the green light from the Competition Defence Court.

Union sources representing workers at Caprabo in the Balearics explained that the Eroski Group has still not told employees if their present contract (with Caprabo) will be respected by the new owners or if they will have to sign a new contract.

Nor have they been informed about possible changes in their hours of work, salaries and other questions. “There is a lot to talk about, they have told us that in January they will give us more information”, said the same sources, who also said that although for the moment the Caprabo workers contracts will continue to be the same, but workers who are renewing will be given Eroski contracts.
