Palma.—The announcement that the Spanish government has decided to reintroduce our old style residence cards was broadly welcomed by Majorca´s expatriate community yesterday. As we reported yesterday thanks to the work of Kate Mentink and the association Europeos por España the government has decided to scrap our “useless green certificate”and reintroduce the residence card which includes a photograph so it is valid identification. Here we outline what we know to date about the process after talking with Kate Mentink yesterday.
