Fork lift kills building worker in Port of Andratx

A young Moroccan worker died yesterday from a blow to the head from a fork lift while he was working on a building site in the Port of Andratx.
He was named only as M.S., aged 30.
According to sources from the 112 emergency service, the local police and the Guardia Civil in Andratx, the accident happened around 11am yesterday morning. The victim was working on the refurbishment of a chalet in Calle Miró, Monport, for a construction company.
It appears that the fork lift truck hit the young man on the head with one of its forks, which killed him almost instantly, in the opinion of the emergency services.
