Top award for British swimmer who swam Cabrera, Dragonera

Palma.—And Majorca played an important part in her sterling efforts to raise over 50,000 pounds for charity by completing the gruelling Five Island Swim challenge.
The incredible feat saw her swim around Jersey, Dragonera here off Majorca, Portsea Island, Tiree in the Inner Hebrides and, most recently, 60 miles around the coast of the Isle of Wight.
That comes on top of conquering the English Channel on her second attempt in 2009.
And, as part of her open sea swimming training, she also swam from Cabrera to Colonia St. Jordi last year.
She said: “It was amazing to win.
