STAFF REPORTER EBERHARD Grosske, Palma councillor for Citizen Participation and Culture, said yesterday that the Council's Holiday Committee will be meeting next week to “see if there is change of opinion” with regard to the new route planned for the Three Kings Parade on 6th January.

Those organising the parade of the “Kings”, their entourage and accompanying floats had asked the Council to change the route this year so that bottlenecks which frequently occur in the narrow streets of the city's historic centres don't become a danger for crowds - largely made up of children - who come to line the streets to watch the cavalcade pass. However, learning of the changed route, local traders, businesses and residents in Palma's Old Town joined forces to complain.
