The population of the Balearics is on the rise, thanks to the arrival on the islands of citizens from the mainland Spain, according to a recent report.

Palma.—According to the National Statistics Institute, on 1 July this year, 1,115, 255 people lived in the Balearic Islands, around 5,140 more than in January.
That increase is due to the amount of citizens arriving from other regions of Spain, thought to be around 10,508, while only 6,409 residents decided to leave.
This means, the great majority of citizens who have increased the local population numbers are Spanish nationals.
