Palma.—This Winter British tour operators will begin a programme of organised cycling package holidays on the island and yesterday, just a day after a special new guide book to the Sierra de la Tramuntana was presented, another UK tour firm announced it is going to organised hiking package holidays through the UNESCOnatural heritage site.
On Foot Holidays are going to be offering new eight-night Tramuntana Mountains walk which leads from Palma through the fertile Galatzo Valley and up into the beautiful mountains, with guests spending each night in boutique hotels and deluxe townhouses - some former palaces dating back to the 16th century.
First it was cycling packages, now hiking
