PROBABLY Majorca's most famous hotel, the Castillo Hotel Son Vida, will be reopening in the New Year after a year-long facelift.
An estimated 25 million euros has been invested in the hotel and it has effectively been transformed into a modern hotel that still maintains its old-world glory. The Hotel Son Vida has the same owners as the nearby Hotel Arabella and the Mardavall in Costa den Blanes. Christine Crespo, Group Communication Director said yesterday that the the Son Vida would re-open in early February after being closed since last January. She stressed that the facelift had been extensive and included most of the key facilities from the rooms to the restaurants and other facilities.
The grand re-opening was being eagerly awaited, she stressed.
Leading local artist Nils Burwitz was also involved in the Hotel Son Vida restoration project.
