Freezing weather and heavy showers will give way to sunshine for Christmas holiday

FREEZING temperatures, gusting winds and heavy showers are set to continue in the Balearics until the end of this week.
Heavy rain, which lashed most of Majorca yesterday, will carry on falling until Friday, when the storms will be replaced by sunny intervals lasting up until the New Year, according to long range predictions.

But sun lovers need not dig out their shorts and bathing costumes despite the winter sunshine. It will remain cool with maximum temperatures touching the mid teens centigrade.
