THE new edition of the Guia Campsa for 2006 includes 44 restaurants and nine wine cellars in the Balearics.
These are recommended for their quality, having been visited by some of the 2'000 anonymous inspectors who have been touring Spain in order to evaluate restaurants for inclusion in the guide. According to Repsol YPF, the company which produces the guide, of all the restaurants in the islands there is one, Tristan in Puerto Portals, which is especially recommended. In fact, in the opinion of the critics of Campsa, it was one of the best and was awarded two suns, as its ratings are called, while another 12 were awarded one sun and the rest were listed as recommended. As for the wine cellars of the islands, four belong to the Denominacion de Origen Pla i Llevant, one to Binissalem-Mallorca, two to Vinos de la Tierra Islas Baleares, one to Vinos de la Tierra Serra de Tramuntana-Costa Nort and the other to Vinos de la Tierra Ibiza.
