By Laura Stadler FOR those travelling to London for Christmas, or who know people who are, take note that important train services appear to be shutting down for Christmas which could complicate journeys. The Gatwick Express is being replaced by a coach service on December 25th and 26th - allow an hour. The Heathrow Express (normally three times an hour) is stopping its fast Paddington service at 2.15pm on Christmas Day. A coach service will run until 11.35pm but allow at least 45 minutes. The Stansted Express is being replaced by a coach service from Liverpool Street until December 29 - allow 90 minutes. Outside London, National Express (www. nationalrail.co.uk) will run no services on the 25th and a reduced service on Boxing Day. For drivers there are no ferry sailings across the channel and even the Eurostar is to shut down at 5pm on Christmas Eve. However, looking on the bright side, travel is going to be free in London on New Year's Eve - good news for all those planning on celebrating in the city.
