Balearic rural Xmas boom

CHRISTMAS at a rural hotel or rented property is proving increasingly popular with the Spanish and the Balearics, along with Andalucia, Valencia, the Canaries and Murcia are where Spain's rural revellers are heading this week. While Spanish families still tend to celebrate Christmas together with all the family, it is becoming more and more common for families to either spend Christmas at a rural hotel or rent out a rural property. According to Spain's rural tourism association, renting a serviced-property means less cooking and cleaning and also offers the family a host of new activities to enjoy over the holiday break.
