Palma de Majorca.—There are 1'144 flights scheduled to take off and land at Balearic airports over the four day period starting yesterday and ending on Monday, 26th Decemebr, a public holiday in the Balearics.

Yesterday, said the Spanish Airports Authority (AENA), was the busiest day with 46'744 passengers travelling in and out of regional airports on 348 flights, followed by Monday when the airports will handle 40'060 passengers on 296 flights.

Most of these passengers, said AENA, would be using Palma airport - 122'294 on 844 flights followed by Ibiza (20'252; 176 flights), and Minorca (13'000; 124 flights.)
Across the country as a whole said AENA, 1.5 million passengers will be travelling over the Christmas long weekend on 10'733flights.
