Small businesses in Majorca experienced an increase in trade of  over 20 million euros in November thanks to the good weather and food sales.

alma.— According to Pimeco, the body which represents  small and medium businesses in the Balearics, sales in November last year rose  by 20.7 million euros  to  248.7 million euros  compared with the previous year.
The figures are encouraging but the number of jobs available still fails to reflect the rise in takings.
Employment figures went up prior to December by 1.4%  compared with the same period in 2012 but were still down 4.4 percent in comparison to  October.
