Palma.—Hours after unions exposed the situation being experienced by patients at Son Llatzer Hospital, the Balearic Health Department announced yesterday that the hospital has made twelve new beds available and five new members of staff have been recruited.
Patients complained that the emergency services at the hospital were unable to cope over the festive period and that they were made to wait up to six hours before being seen by a doctor.
