Palma.—Wine production levels in the Balearics registered last year its second best year over the last decade, an Agriculture and Environment department report revealed yesterday.
Last year over 51 million hectolitres of wine were produced locally, a 6% increase from the previous year and only behind 2010’s numbers, when over 54 million hectolitres were produced.
The percentage of land cultivated for that purpose and grape harvest levels have also increased compared to the previous year.
