Palma.—A Morrocan waiter who raped and stabbed a Wearside model in Majorca will remain behind bars after his appeal on human rights grounds was thrown out by a judge.
Mohamed Fadel el Anssari, 32, claimed police violated his right to privacy by collecting his DNA from a discarded cigarette butt during a manhunt following the frenzied knife attack in Magalluf.
Fadel demanded his conviction be overturned despite having twice confessed to the horrific crime.
