Magdalena Lopez was yesterday sworn in as the Partido Popular’s new mayor of Deya after Jaume Crespi announced his resignation last week after having served as mayor for eleven years.
The Partido Popular has enjoyed an absolute majority in Deya for the past three legislatures and yesterday Lopez said that she was taking on the new role “with plenty of illusion and determination.”
She also paid tribute to all the great work Crespi carried out during his time as mayor of one of the most internationally famous villages in the Balearics.
