Palma.— The Guardia Civil here in the Balearics has reinforced its operation against rural robberies which was launched last year with special Equipo Poca units being assigned the task of increasing security in the more rural and isolated areas of the region.
Last week, members of Equipo Roca held a meeting at the Guardia Civil barracks in Manacor with representatives from farming associations to explain what they do, how they operate and how the farming associations can help them.
The meetings are designed to open up new avenues of communication between the Guardia Civil and the farming community to improve the level of security provided.
