Scotland deserves better

THE people of Scotland deserve better. At one stage Irather admired the leader of the Scottish Nationalists Alex Salmond. He appeared to be a man on a mission and was fighting his cause. What I didn´t know was that he had thought up his dream of an independent Scotland on the back on a postage stamp! His proposal has been knocked back into touch (excuse the pun!) twice. Firstly, Spain said that it might veto any plans that an independent Scotland may have of joining the European Union and now Chancellor George Osborne says that they can´t have the pound. I sincerely hope that Salmond has a plan B. the referendum is obviously an issue which raises plenty of emotion. Scotland is a proud nation and if the majority of people there want to break away from the rest of the United Kingdom, then fine. But Scotland´s politicians in the SNP should not play with people´s emotions and then not have a coherent plan for a independent Scotland. The Scottish and Scotland deserve better.
