Palma.—Palma airport’s terminal A has now been reopened for business due to the number of passengers airport officials are expecting  to handle this tourist season.
The terminal at Son Sant Joan has been closed since November,  as the number of visitors to the island during the low season does not justify it being open.
The same situation was experienced the year before as airport authorities were forced to close the terminal in order to maximise all the remaining infrastructures in the building and reduce operational costs.
All 17 boarding gates, shops and restaurants in Terminal A were also closed during the low season.
But with the summer season around the corner, things have changed.
