One of the two Spanish vessels at the heart of the latest spat over Gibraltar is currently in Majorca.
Palma.—The Spanish research vessel Ramon Margalef is currently in Palma to take part in the nationwide celebrations to mark the centenary of the Spanish Oceanographic Institute this weekend.
On Saturday, Spain’s most advanced research vessel will be at the boat show in Alcudia and will be open to the public.
However, she is one of two Spanish vessels at the centre of the latest dispute between London and Madrid over incursions in to Gibraltar’s territorial waters which the Spanish Ambassador to London was summoned to explain yesterday - again. Back in November, the research vessel belonging to the Spanish state undertook significant surveying activity in Gibraltar’s territorial waters.
