Spanish pop star singer Ana Torroja, from the popular group Mecano, is set to appear in court tomorrow in Palma. Torroja is accused of fraud and leading a social structure that used countries like Panama and Netherlands Antilles to escape tax obligations by pretending she resided in the United Kingdom. Prosecution is now asking for the defendant to be given a three year and three months sentence for evading around 1,3 million euros in tax between 2001 and 2007.
