TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, yesterday announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice awards for Destinations and the Balearics was up their with the very best resorts, hotels and beaches.

Palma.—Calvia and Soller were voted in to the top ten Spanish holiday destinations  by the travelling public, Calvia coming in eighth place and Soller tenth - Barcelona proved the most popular.
However, when it came to the best beaches, the Balearics reigns supreme with Spain’s best beach being in Formentera while Ibiza can boast the country’s seventh best beach.

And, with regards to hotels, again the Balearics faired well, especially Majorca which has no less than four in the top 25 hotels in Spain as voted by you, the public.
