Palma.—Doctors Without Borders Association has yesterday accused Palma City Council of fining prostitutes in Playa de Palma.
One of the coordinators of the non-governmental organisation (ONG) exposed the situation, saying that local police is fining prostitutes simply under the argument that they are obstructing a public area. Between brackets they add on the complaint form the word prostitutes.
The names of the women involved could not be revealed but Paco Garrido from the ONG said the association has in their possession the identification number of the agents who passed the fines.
