Greenpeace’s Rainbow Warrior ship has docked this week in Valencia, where it will remain for the next two days, with the organisation planning a series of campaigns against oil prospecting in local waters, a cause directly related with the Balearics. Greenpeace claims that government plans to search for oil in Valencian and Balearic waters could “destroy the local environment for “a mere 272 million crude barrels”, or in other words, “only six months of supply”.
