Palma.—British holiday maker Pat Smith contacted the Bulletin yesterday in a desperate plea for help.
Pat, who is on holiday in Santa Ponsa with her husband Ray, lost her engagement ring of 50 years and her wedding ring of 45 years while on the beach on Thursday - and they fly home tomorrow.
“Iguess it was my fault. We had been on the beach from 11.30am to 6.30pm and during that time I took my rings off to put on some sun cream and I must have got distracted and forgot to put them back on.
“We searched and searched the area and then I started having doubts and wondered if I had in fact left them back at the apartment.
“So we rushed back to search the apartment, but nothing, so we returned to the sun beds near the life guard tower near the middle of the beach where we had been, and had another look.“Yesterday, I was absolutely beside myself, but Iguess it was one of those things,” Pat said, putting on a brave face.
The engagement ring is set with three small diamonds and the wedding ring is gold and set with tiny diamonds.
If you find them please call 971 78410.
