Palma.—After months of tense negotiations, deadlocks and threats of a summer of industrial action, the hostelry sector and the unions have reached an agreement which is due to be rubber stamped on 25 June.
This will be the 15th hostelry contract deal  and it will affect 100,000 employees across the Balearics.
The biggest stumbling block was the hotel sector which right from the very start of the talks decided to stick to its gun and refuse a pay rise.
