Palma.—The annual summer security operation was officially launched yesterday.
This year, the operation is called “Secure tourism” and across the country, a total of 28,535 security officers will be deployed to the country’s main resorts, especially here in the Balearics.
In total, the thousands of extra security agents are going to be on duty until 31 August.
11,800 of those will be members of the National Police and the rest, from the Guardia Civil and this year, all of the state police forces are going to be working in much closer cooperation with the Local Police forces around the island, in particular those in the busiest resorts such as Calvia, especially Magalluf, and the Playa de Palma.
