Palma.—Puerto Andratx’s Calle Castanyetes is amongst the most expensive and exclusive streets  in the world.
Property prices in the Majorcan location can reach up to 27,000 euros per square metre. Last year’s most pricey location by the price of  square metre was Hyde Park in London, according to a  leading German property agency Engel & Volkers ranking published yesterday. Engels and Volkers’ most expensive sale last year was exactly in Hyde Park.
A luxurious attic went for 162 million euros, raising the price per square metre to a staggering 150,000 euros.  The exclusive list also included streets  in Montecarlo Monaco, Sardinia Italy, France’s blue coast, several locations in Switzerland, Paris, Moscow and Austria, with Andratx in eleventh place.
Majorca’s second most expensive location was Deya in the the Tramuntana mountain, with prices reaching up to 16,000 euros per square metre.
Two streets in Madrid and Barcelona also made it to the top 20.
