Palma.—Majorca is the most sought after holiday destination for Spanish nationals this year.
A report published yesterday by an online travel agency reveals its close location to the mainland, the weather and  beaches make the island the perfect place to relax, in most cases in the company of the family.
Minorca was rated third behind the Algarve and ahead of Costa del Sol and Valencia.
On average those heading to Majorca booked a four to six nights stay (42 percent of those inquired). A smaller percentage (34 percent) chose to stay one to three nights, 17 percent seven nights and seven percent seven or more nights.
