The National Police is on the hunt to find a 40-year-old female home carer, accused of beating an old woman under her care, last Tuesday in Son Ferriol.
According to the victim’s son and daughter, the 84-year old-lady complained to the home carer she was cleaning the floor with dirty water. Her complaints fell on deaf ears which led to further complaints.
“And that’s when it all happened,” the victim’s son explained. “She lost control and just attacked her,” he alleged yesterday.
The woman is accused of apparently shaking the old lady violently, shouting, and throwing her on the floor.
She then apparently proceeded to grab a jar with which she tried to hit the victim over the head, missing by only centimetres.
The victim, who lives in an attic in Calle LeonXIII, was taken to hospital to be seen by the doctors after presenting several injuries.
Four men were yesterday caught in the act and arrested by Andratx Police after breaking and entering a local property, which they apparently intended to rob.
The arrested, three men and a woman aged in their forties have criminal records and were known in the area for stealing antiques and other valuable objects to sell them on the black market.
On this occasion, a neighbour saw them breaking in and alerted the police who were quick to react.
