EL CORTE INGLÉS TO CELEBRATE “WHY BRITAIN IS GREAT” FROM TODAY

Palma.—The GREAT Britain Festival launches this morning and  people in Majorca  will have the opportunity to taste the very best of British food, while on the mainland, they will have the chance to  buy clothes from top British designers and enjoy the best of British writing and live music.
The three week celebration of “why Britain is “GREAT” will take place in the Gourmet Club in the Avenidas branch and a total of 571 products from the United Kingdom, 314 of which will be new to El Corte Inglés, will be on sale.
The food fair will be separated into six “worlds”: breakfast, ethnic (spices etc.), chocolates and cakes, the pub, which has been built for the event, cold store (salmon, cheeses etc.) and prepared dishes and sauces.
There will be a special Beefeater area with a traditional red post box and telephone booth where, on 17 and 18 October, free photographs will be taken of visitors against the backdrop of London.
