Palma.—Majorcan tennis star Rafael Nadal is going to invest more than five million euros in redeveloping a luxury hotel in Cala Millor.
Nadal, who already has interests in tourism in South America, in particular Cozumel in Mexico, is investing in a project to transform the Oasis de Calita three key/star aparthotel in the resort into a four star luxury hotel.
The project was recently presented by the company Ladanegi S.L. in which the tennis player’s father, Sebatian Nadal, has a role, and work has already begun on the reformation on the building near Punt de n’Amer.
Construction work is understood to have started over a week ago and the project will take eight months to complete with the company hopeful that the new luxury hotel will be able to open its doors in time for peak season next summer.
